High Sierra Writers was created in August of 2012. It was formed from two long-standing, well-respected writing groups in northern Nevada–Unnamed Writers’ Group and Writers of the Purple Sage.
Unnamed Writers’ Group was established in 1997 and dissolved in 2012. It was a group designed to help writers take their ideas from creation to completion, focusing on education and support for emerging writers.
Purple Sage Writers was established in 2008. It was a group designed to help writers take their written art through the world of publishing. It taught their community of writers about the technology affecting the writing world, the keys to marketing, and how to distribute their work.
By bringing both groups together, we focus on all aspects of writing and publishing.
